Gently Stepping Into Love

Walking in desert

I talk about love often. I work very hard to create a vivid picture about love, the heart, what it all means and how it all works. The other day, one of my students exclaimed that it was simply too hard for her to figure out how to focus love on other people. She explained that her mistrust of people was too strong. Her heart had been broken too many times.

I am guessing that a whole lot of you have experienced a broken heart. Maybe you have one right now. We can have a broken heart for so many reasons. It can be because of a lover break-up, or because we lose someone close to us. We can experience a broken heart because our best friend betrayed us. Sometimes, it feels as though a broken heart will never mend. Our fear of this pain can be the reason we limit our love. However, each time we create any barriers in our hearts, we are the ones that suffer.

In my world of spirituality, starting somewhere, starting anywhere, just starting, will lead you down a road of success.

Love is an energy. It does not have an identity. Love is love.  Love is as real as oxygen. Love is as invisible as oxygen. Love is as vital to our health and well-being as oxygen. Imagine, no one tries to compartmentalize oxygen. No one breathes some of the time. No one imagines that they do not deserve oxygen. Therefore, we establish that everyone equally deserves and requires love.

Love is yours. When it is flowing strongly, you feel it, you experience it. The feelings are wild, wonderful and mostly unexplainable. But, most everyone agrees that it feels good to love. So, if you are loving, or in love, those feelings are being experienced by you! This is an important piece to get! If I am in love, I am the lucky recipient of my in-loveness! Truthfully, I can simply love. I never have to think love into manifestation. I never have to focus love on anything! I can simply just EMBODY love! Now, I have just removed the block of mistrust.

Love heals. Love creates peace. Love makes miracles possible. Love is the great neutralizer. Love grows when it flows. If you have an open heart, you have every possibility of healing any wounds. If you close your heart, you have now contained your hurt and pain within you. Now it is yours. Now you may be safe from experiencing new pains, but the pain you imprisoned inside of you will fester. It will now become an informant of how you will make choices of moving forward in your life. You will create a life based on pain, instead of joy. If I keep my heart open, the initial pain may be more, well, maybe far more intense. But as the love continues to flow, it will act as a salve and go deep into your wounds and heal them.

Love is intelligence. It has clear guidance that will lead to a resolution in every situation. It is important to practice learning how to distinguish between the voice of the mind and the voice of the heart. The heart’s voice creates calm in the body. The heart’s voice makes sure the well-being of all parties is addressed. As you follow the heart’s guidance, you will clearly see how it leads to miracles.

Moving down a road of evolving as a human being requires that we open our hearts and learn about love. And as I said, starting anywhere works!

I love you all!
